I’ve just connected my BeoCenter 6 23 with sky, it has DAB but radio not working, will I need an external DAB aerial? When I tested this the tv they did not mention this and the DAB radio was working?
HI and welcome to Beoworld.
Yes, if your TV is fitted with DAB then is should have a separate DAB aerial connection within the back panel. You should attach some sort of radio aerial, but whether you need a specialist DAB one, or external aerial, will depend upon the signal strength in your area.
Thanks for the reply, any ideas what type of aerial ie just a radio aerial, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I would initially try just any old aerial that you have lying around, as long as it has the correct connection on it. You could even try connecting temporarily to the TV aerial, just to check that DAB works.
If buying an indoor aerial, maybe something like this: https://smile.amazon.co.uk/DAB-Aerial-Philex-27741HS-Frequency/dp/B001GXQUHM/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1544204457&sr=8-3&keywords=DAB+aerial
But if the DAB signal is weak you may wish to speak to a specialist and think about either an external aerial of something mounted up in the loft, assuming you have one.
