Please can anybody tell me what letter screws to remove to take the whole top off my Beocentre 2200 it seems to have screws marked A.B and C and I dont want to make the mistake of taking out the wrong ones,
When I take out the correct ones will it also take off the cassette and tuner side of the covers ?
Thanks Derek
A releases the dustcover and back support.B releases the control panel/tuning scale assembly, and C releases the trim around the turntable.
Nick
many thanks, do I need to take off the dust cover screw A before being able to remove screw C to get to the motor ?
Derek
Yes,remove the lid assembly complete,it will give you much better access to remove the trim around the turntable, and then to the motor itself.
You might like to release the control panel too.It will give you access to the tape deck, which could probably do with some tlc,as I imagine that the drive belts are iffy by now
The whole unit is nicely made and designed with service access in mind, although they have like most B&O equipment proven to be reliable over the years.
