Hi!
I am sill struggling with the multiroom when playing music (Deezer) to the BV14. In the setup there is an integrated Core and the BV14.There are many sound drops when then playing the music. The although related BeooSound1 is running without drops. The BV14 and the Core are connected over LAN (BS1 over WLAN). I personally think, that this is a problem with the BV14!?
Are there similarly experiences here in the forum?
Is it possibly to connect the Core hardwired to the BV14?
Wolfgang
This issue is known since the latest AirPlay 2 update of the Core. In integrated setups, you will experience drop outs in audio.
There is a SW update coming, but you can already contact your local dealer and request the update for your specific Core.
Thanks for the reply! I am aware of these problems after the AirPlay 2 update. I already have got an update of the Core (SW = 1.3.27802.28672131). Stil the same problems, which were also there before the AirPlay2 update!?
Do you have NL multiroom enabled on the Core?
When yes, try to disable to see what happens - (maybe you already did try that?)
Not sure whether the NL enabling is needed, when the Core is integrated with the tv, though?
What do you mean by ‘possibility to connect the Core hardwired...’?
The Core and the BV14 are already hardwired through LAN, as you wrote it.
MM
There is a tv - and there is a BV
I will check that!
I would like to connect the output signal of the Core hardwired to the TV (for example L/R IN). In that case I will avoid the mutliroom connection between the Core and BV14.
Test done; in an integrated modus, it is not possible to configure the BEOLINK multiroom function!? To be precise: the sound drop accrues after 30s of any new song.

Would you expect things to be better that way?
Yes, hopefully; because the sound drops only occurs to the Core-BV14 not to the Core-BS1.
Hi Wolf,
Thanks for your email this morning. One option is to link the Core to the TV via a direct connection so that you don't need to rely on the wireless link.
You can use this cable and adapter to link the Core to the 3.5mm L/R In socket of your Beovision 14 TV:-
Cable: https://soundsheavenly.com/televisions/158-2365-powerlink-to-beovision-14-horizon-cable-link-your-audio-system-to-your-new-tv.html#/2-length-1m

Kind regards, Steve.

I would like to give a (pre)final feedback.
After many try and error investigations I come to the conclusion that at least in my case the combination BV14 and Core is not running stable. My final solution is that I have now integrated a M5 in the BV14 and now everything works fine!?
Nevertheless thanks for your help and advice!
WR
Interesting (though sad).
could you tell us a bit more about how you use the M5 this way?
Sure the sources of the M5 are now visible in the BV14 and can be started with the remote.
But what happens with the M5, when you use it this way - it probably (?) remains silent?
Which means, that you can’t use it on its own, or???
And what happens when you tap/double tap it - does that start the BV14 from standby?
And can you control the volume (of the BV) from there.....?
of course..!
In the integration menue of the BV14 it is possible to assign all mulitroom speakers of the network as the integrated device. In my case I selected the M5.
The M5 is still independent and can be startet without effect on the TV.
When I start the music with the remote one the M5 and the BV14 are both starting and music is playing on my selected speaker groups of the BV14 and on the M5. The M5 is the master and the BV14 is following automatically over multiroom.
Over the app it is still possible to control the volume of each device.

As far as I know this is because the M5 (and maybe the others on the same platform) is the only Multiroom product that has had a software update to fix the Multiroom for NL-televisions in combination with Airplay 2. M3 and Core are in the newest platform, and no fix available yet.

Then your M5 seems to be ‘connected to’ the BV14, not ‘integrated with’ it.
This setting is made for the device in the app.
As seen here, my Essence is ‘connected to’ - but not ‘integrated with’ my Avant (and the V1).
Is that so with your M5, too?
You’re right, MM!
But I have made the settings in the BV14; not in the app. Interesting is, that it is not shown in the app (settings of the M5). This is although different to the Core. Settings from the integration menus of the TV were although shown in the app!?

You will have to do both.
I was wondering, whether the M5 can be integrated at all = if the sound systems with built in speakers can integrate at all?
And I became curious, because you wrote ‘integrate’.
Well - I’ll have to do that test myself some day, when I have an M5 or M3 or......
The hotfix unfortunately did not help in my case.

Yes agree, it seems to be a BV14 topic!
