Afternoon all, can I connect my 3500 speakers to my V1 television using Sounds Heavenly RJ45 Ethernet Powerlink to traditional 8 pin DIN Powerlink cable. Will it be as easy as that. Many thanks in anticipation.

Hi,

Welcome to Beoworld!

I think we may have spoken earlier today via my website?  In order to connect the speakers directly to your V1 TV via Powerlink to RJ45 cables, the speakers must be mk.2 versions (serial number above 19345xxx) AND have software at level 3.1 or above (if the software level is not shown on the product sticker, the speakers are unlikely to be suitable).

The other option is to use an NL/ML converter from B&O between the TV and the speakers, this way any version of Beolab 3500 can be used with the TV.

Please ask if you need any further help.

Kind regards, Steve.

Steve.

Many thanks for your reply Steve. Alas they are Mk1 speakers, both numbers being below 19......

if you don’t supply them, then I will have to go to B&O tomorrow. Many thanks, I still need to contact you regarding some power cables though. Once again many thanks. Brian.

Hi,

No problem, please ask if you need help connecting the speakers via an NL/ML converter (the only option for your mk.1 speakers to a V1 TV) and I will be pleased to help.

Kind regards, Steve.

An NL/ML Converter is about a £1000. 😰 More than than the speakers worth. Will have to have a think, maybe another BeoSound 2.
