CD 5500 with Beomaster 5000 and MCP

Duplicate post with General Questions-- sorry..

Will the MCP for my Beomaster 5000 work with a CD5500? Or must I use a CD50? The early CD players have me confused about sound vs reliability, too. Any recommendations appreciated!

The MCP does not directly interact with the CD player. It uses datalink between the Beomaster and the Beogram CD to send control signals. So yes, the MCP 5000 will work with the CD 5500.
