Beocord 5000 vs 5500

I am in question of the Beomaster 5000 remote and system working with the Beocord 5500. I noted on a photo  (ebay) that the 5500 has auto reverse. The 5000 Beocord does not. Will most functions still work with the remote?  OR should I just stay with the same system 5000 all around for compatibility .

You won’t be able to TURN the cassette using auto-reverse of the Beocord 5500 by remote with the beomaster 5000 system. I’ve used both decks, and in my opinion the BC 5000 is a little better for recording then the 5500 but both are enjoyable decks with this system.
