Hey Guys!

I have a problem with my Beosound 1s IR receiver (I think).

If I operate the Beo4 very close and in a certain angle to the BS1 (aprox. 10-15cm away) it works fine. If the Beo4 is any further away, it does not work.

I have tried a different Beo4, new batteries etc. so I am pretty sure the BS1 is the problem.
See also this thread:  https://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/t/36179.aspx?PageIndex=2

The BS1 otherwise works perfectly fine. I changed SMPS power supply a few weeks ago.

I do not see any IR lights on the BS1 through my phone camera.

Does anybody have an idea how to fix this? Preferably without changing the Display/IR PCB for a new one?

Thank you in advance !

Carlo

I have no real advise other than that you will not see any IR lights on your camera since the BS1 does not transmit anything. The BS1 only receives.

I had the same problem with one of mine. The power supply section was bad, which I changed first.   The unit then worked, but the remote would only work right up next to the unit. I ended up replacing the Display/IR pcb and that solved the problem.

Good luck with yours
