BeoMaster 7000 Tuner/Amplifier Power

Hello all...I’m brand new to B&O and I recently came across a couple Beomaster 7000 componets. I have a silly question with regards to the tuner/amp. When I plug it in I don’t get any lights or anything while pushing the buttons.   Does it need the remote (which I don’t have) to turn on? I just want to verify it powers up for starters. Thanks for any input

You should get a red dot when plugged in, then it should light up even without the remote when you press the bar at right.

But you’ll really need a remote to make it work.
