I was about to place an order for H9i but when making a quick search and reading for example this thread, [Problems with new H9i's bought yesterday], I can't say that I'm that confident anymore to go ahead with the ordering. Here are a few more threads which doesn't help out [Thread1], [Thread2], [Thread3] and [Thread4].

Just a few weeks ago I splurged on H9i.  So far, very good experience, but that's not a lot of time to gauge things.  I took them with me on a cross-continent flight and appreciated  (!) the ANC.  I've thrown them 'naked' into my backpack and carried on flights, through airports, hotels, etc.  No issues.  YMMV.

OTOH, I've owned a pair of H7s for maybe two years now, and in those same few weeks of H9i ownership, the H7's Bluetooth connectivity has simply given up.  They can't be paired to anything, so software updates can't occur.  They sound great when wired up.  Indifferent

Well, seems quite mixed feelings about the H9i and while I really appreciate the B&O headphones and have the H6 gen1 which I really like I need to replace H3 ANC which one of the cats managed to eat a bit of the cable (good taste obliviously...). While I liked the H3 I was thinking going over ear headphones instead and going for H9i instead. But, with the current feedback and what it seems that it hasn't been fixed I'm totally hesitating.

Another thought is that I'm wondering whether B&O are planning to replace the H9i due to that I've noticed several placed now have lowered the price significantly for H9i with around $140-180. Ultimately guess it's just time before B&O released headphones using Bluetooth v5 which offers a lot of new functions including higher bandwidth.

I love both the sound quality and the noise reduction of the H9is. So much so that I bought a second pair.

Apparently I don’t have any music that generates the artefacts observed by others.

BeoPlay H9i at sale on Amazon at the moment. 339,45€ instead of 500€

B&O dealers are not going to like this...
