Hi all,
I've been contacted by a chap who has inherited his late grandfather's B&O system, which all works well except the Beogram 5005. From what he says it sounds like it's the standard issue of the bulb in the arm tracking system being blown so the arm won't follow the grooves.
Normally, I'd be happy to repair it for him but he's in Glasgow and I'm in Hampshire! Consequently, do any Beoworlders have any recommendations for any repair places in the Glasgow area that are able and willing to repair Beograms that I can pass onto him?
Thanks!
Hi I’m based near Stirling and I remember asking Euan at B&O Glasgow if there was just such a person up here and he said not to his knowledge. Pretty sure Jim,who is their repair guy, doesn’t work with the Beograms at all. I think it’s a case of safe packing to folk like yourself south of the border.
