Just an update on this is all now working. I really like the sound I am getting from this setup. I have seen some criticism of the amp in the 9000 but it sounds good to me with both Mission 750 Anniversary speakers and the 4000s. The 4000s are terrific speakers and are a quality level up from the Missions which are decent but not top end. I particularly love the CD sound which combines the best of cd and vinyl to my ears. The Beogram 1700 is fitted with a refurbished MMC 20EN and sounds superb. A very satisfying system for relatively small money.
