Hi there,

Has anybody replaced the RL 140 woofers? If so, what brand and model did you use? Does aybody know where I can get the specs from the original woofers that mount the RL 140?

Thank you very much

Welcome to Beoworld !

The original T/S parameters are not disclosed but you can start by asking around for 6 ohms impedance woofers.
After spending many weeks looking around only to find out that no producers are making
such things, you'll find your options are:

- Get the ones you have repaired, it's a fairly standard job for a prof. refoamer if they "only" need new foam surrounds.
or
- Find a set of original woofers that are already refoamed.

I have seen two or three different alternatives fitted in RL140s coming in for repairs here but none of them sounded
anywhere near the original. I fitted back original woofers in them all.

Thank you so much Dillen for your answer. I will take them to have them refoam. I was just wondering  the chances to fit new woofers. I thought the speakers had 8 ohms impedance.

Thanks

Carlos,

I seek replacement woofers as well for my very old speakers.  Have any luck?

Thanks
