Hi Barry,
i have the same problem when i wanted to reinstall the beoplayer on a WIN7 computer where it ran fine for several years.
The problem is caused by one of Microsoft updates.
This failure comes only in the session where the Beoplayer is installed (Administrator rights). In the sessions of other users (common user) it still works: Connecting to the Beomedia 1 (in my case), updating the Internet radio list and listening to N.Radio, even the previous favorites are avilable.
There's also a Registry entry available here posted by Paul.which helped to get at least N.Radio support.
