Has anyone paired the Beovox 5000 (flat panel) speakers with either the Beomaster 8000 or 4400? I have both and am about to move to a smaller house with little room for normal loudspeakers. Any views gratefully received.

I’ve owned both the Beomasters you mention and regard them both very highly - arguably B&O’s best sounding amplifiers. I’ve heard the Beolab 5000s (Beovox 5000s with a Sanyo built hybrid amp built in) but wasn’t greatly impressed. However speakers are a very personal thing and if the sound of the Beovox 5000s appeals, then fine.

If panel speakers are the only option, I’d also consider the P45s. These are excellent, neutral speakers if a bit bass light but I’ve used them with both the 4400 and the 8000 very happily and as long as you don’t want ear-shattering volume levels, the power from either of the amps shouldn’t damage the speakers. They’re also easier to attach to the wall.
