Hi everybody,
I have a strange problem with my beosystem 2500 type 2601.
It all happened after having exchanged a CD clamper drivebelt.
When i put it back together after the belt exchange everything worked radio cd and tape with keyboard and remote except that i didn't hear any sound on the headphones and speakers. I measured signal from tape, cd or radio on the input of the tone control ciruit (IC1 LC7537 on the tone control chip on the pre amplifier board). When connecting a ground lead to the chassis i made a short circuit between one of the clamper moter pins and ground and i burned a resistor. I have exchanged that one.
The system doesn't switch on now. Not even the standby led come on. When i plug the unit in the timer and standby led go on for less then half a second and then go off.
Ir signals arrive at the processor but it does not send send anything back as it should. The beolink 7000 shows also no contact.
I think that with this short circuit the eeprom (IC6 on microprocessor board) got corrupted and the processor does not boot but keeps o trying to read the eeprom.
I had a simular problem with a beovision 6-22 and there i could reprogram the eeprom.
Does anybody have had something equal?
Regards
Ron.
