Beocord 3500 tape deck no REW or FFW

Hi.

I'm repairing a 3500 tapedeck. It got new bands and it can play-stop but can only REW and FFW for about 5 seconds, then it stops by itself. I'm pretty shure the bands is routed the right way, but I haven't any documentation to prove it. Has any one tried this before?
