Just when you think you know everything you don't!
For the first time ever I have set up two devices in the same room. An Overture connected to a pair of BL4 and a BV7-40 MKIII connected to a 5.1 BL setup.
They are connected with a masterlink cable and both are in option 1. Here is my question:
The cd is playing on the Overture from the two connected speakers. What is suppose to happen when AV CD is pressed.
A: The Overture mutes, and control and sound is transferred to the Beovision and the 5.1 BLs now plays.
B: The Overture does NOT mute, but control and sound is transferred to the Beovision. All speakers are now active.
Any input highly appreciated, since the B&O documentation (as usual), is sparse and inconsistent!

(But I based that upon reading about the AV button in the BL5000 manual!)

No need to experiment any further then. I was hoping A was the right answer, but i guess with B all options are open, just makes the total volume control a bit difficult, plus I need to adjust the master audio delay ever so slightly in the BV.

The AV button is used for the changing of commands from one system to another.....which does not mute the sound in one of them as well.
If you have the two devices in one room and you want to listen to the sound of the CD via the video setup, you could put the AudioMaster in Option 4 (the link mode). This means, that you can start the CD playback from the VideoMaster without sound from the AudioMaster.
It however complicates the use of the Audio Master, since you will have to the LINK command every time you want to control that.
If you dont have any speakers connected to the AudioMaster - do you really need them? - Option 0 would be the right one for the AudioMaster.
Maybe Steffen has some further tricks up his sleeve.....he is the king of options 👍

I have to correct myself...must be:
---all speakers assigned to audio mode are active - and BL4s.
Videoproduct (Beovision) will detect AV-CD as audiosource command when in V.OPT1. screen keeps inactive and stand in audio position.
Does also work in linkrooms with Beovision in V.OPT5.

You can also activate CD on your Beovision (V.OPT1) by pressing AV-CD, if the whole mainroom system is in standby mode.
So you won`t need OPT4 and LINK command.
