I was wondering why I couldn't start my Beogram 4004 by pressing the P on my Beomaster 2400. I found out that the Beogram 4004 should have a 7 pin DIN connection. Apparently you were able to unscrew the two extra pins so the Beogram could fit other receivers. And the previous owner of my Beogram did just that. Now I have a 5 pin connection left...
How can I fix the connection so I can use the 'datalink' ability? Do I need to solder a new 7 pin connection to the cable of the Beogram? Can I use some sort of adapter? Is there another solution?
Ben.
You just need to find two pins for screwing in.
Martin
I didn't suggest that option because I couldn't image finding to pins to screw in. Can you still buy a 7 pin connector with 2 pins you can unscrew?
Your solution is so simple I don't really know how to go about it :-) Google is my friend this far so I will try there first.
Edit - Looking at all the stuff I got together with the Beogram 4004 I noticed some extra materials in the little red box that holds the MCC and there they are! Two small extra pins!
Thanks for you answer Martin!

Ben
