New and a BeoWorld Exclusive!  Spy shots of the STB Brackets adaptor which lets you put a V1 - 32" or 40" onto a BeoVision 7 - 32" (or BeoVision 6 - 26") Motor Floor Stand.

We suggested this in our STB competition thread - and here it is..

There will be no motor function, the top of the TV is at 1060mm (same height as a BV10-40) and the TV covers the aperture in the stand if you're using the 7-32 variant with the hole for the BeoLab 7 speaker mount.

"They are being made now and will be ready in two weeks" says Gavin Sykes, owner of STB Brackets.

Here we are....

different people like different things, that's what makes the world interesting.

personally, I think you loose the elegance of the pole stand, and the industrial look of the V1, and I hate it.  Pretty ingenious though

Maybe Lee but the white V1 is a great looking quite quirky design and this makes it a little conservative. A bit like putting Prince Harry in Prince Charles clothes and attire :)

I like the look of the tv on the stand but it's just the side supports i'm not sure about? Hmmmm

But It's a great idea! Would have to see it for real...

But It's a great idea! Would have to see it for real...

If the side supports could just be flush, it would change my view of not purchasing a V1.

I have actually contacted stb sometime ago about this and they said at that time there are no plans to make a stand like this but now a v132 in the bedroom is a reality....

Not sure what lee said is the stand available or just the adapter?

Thanks

It wouldn't be so bad if maybe the sides were painted black i think it would then blend in more.

It's just the adaptor. Many dealers complained they couldn't get people to change their early BV7-32 for the V1 as there was no decent floor stand solution.  Also, many dealers had (and have) plenty of the 6/26 and 7/32 Motor Floor Stands laying around gathering dust - so this was the perfect opportunity..

There would be nothing stopping anyone spraying the side brackets in their preferred colour themselves either!  I think initially the 'side bars' were a little more discrete, but B&O asked for them to be on show a little more if i remember talking to Gavin correctly.

Anyway - as I mentioned, it's a solution to a problem, not a ground-up design.

I don't know who at B&O made that decision Lee about making the brackets less discreet. Who wants to see exposed metal brackets for goodness sake?

The person who is into this "urban grunge industrial" design philosophy should think long and hard about the poor sales, together with the fact that STB are making brackets for an unhappy customer base. This should give them some sort of a clue about the success of the design road they are going down.

Just because it's Beoplay and not B&O(we all know it is really)doesn't mean it should intentionally look daft or ugly.

No sale unfortunately.

I like it! It seems a shame the motor function can't be used though.

Personally I would like the brackets to be more like the style of the stand, i.e. a little bit more polished. As it is now, my impression is that this is showing two different type of products that does not blend very well.

I would not buy a Beoplay product anyway though (except for the A8 which actually is a B&O to me).

My B&O products: Beosound 9000, Beosound 2300, Beosound Century, Beolab 8000, Beolab 6000, Beolab 4000 x2, Beolab 3500, Beolab 2000, Beolab 10, Beolink Active x2, Beotime, Beo5 x2, Beo4, A9 keyring x2, LC2 dimmer x6 and growing....
