anybody have suggestions for a tv for my system?  My Avant 55 will cost too much to repair after three years of owning it. I will not pay what they want to repair the video engine and maybe the power supply too. I saw that LG offers a couple of nice TVs with built in WISA that should  work with my current set up. Would this work?  The purchase price for a 65 inch tv is about $3,000  I have 4 beolab 17s and a beolab 19 subwoofer

not as of yet, when the wisa stick is available, but we don't know when that would be. I wrote in your other thread to write to beowillie@gmail.com as his pricing is probably around half if not less if the diagnosis is accurate and he's in Calgary.

Have you given up totally on repair? you could also go second hand market, here a avant 55 would be around 3000 dollar roughly.

New: Beovision Harmony, Beolab 50's, Beolab 28's, Beolab 18's, Beolab 17's, Beosound Stage & LG, Beosound 2, Beoplay M3, Beoplay A1, Beoplay Portal, Beoplay H4 gen 2, Beoplay E8 3.0

I would get a second opinion but those avant 55s are very heavy to move around. I had to hire the installation technician, who by the way is a very nice and knowledgeable man.I had to rent a van just to drive it to the repair facility. I’m not sure if I am prepared to put so much money into an outdated tv as the new LG based B&O TVs are much nicer than mine plus the screen is bigger too

Should get £1800 for it as a trade in against a new Eclipse if that’s a viable option?

Assuming that the tv functions. What if it is broken?

From my understanding you will get the same price for any TV traded in against the eclipse.

I don't know if it's been discussed in any detail, but when speaking with my LG rep, I don't believe the WISA version in their panels is compatible with BeoLab speakers. They weren't 100% certain, so neither am I, but certainly something to look into when making a choice. You can always find an AV Receiver with pre-amp outputs and connect into a B&O WISA transmitter, but of course there are costs carried with this.

Purely on its own video quality, I would look at Sony's A9G - far an away the best image on the market and just all all around gorgeous set. Also the best service among the major TV brands.

I thought WISA is a standard that implies interoperability so all brands should be compatible with each other.
