Hej!

I do own my BV7-40 MK3 for ages now and am still happy. Since I moved I now need a HD receiver for the first time. Got me a TechniSat (DFTA40HD) on ebay after I couldn't find a used internal module, as I read that I could control those type of receivers via my Beo4. I can't really update my PUC list but I have 4 TechniSats mentioned there ( Digital PK, Digicorder, Digi PR-K Digi HD2SX, Digi MF4-S and 450x) so I hoped, that at least changing the channel/ tv+radio would work.

Current setup has the receiver connected via HDMI  and I run it as DTV/SAT. Got my PUC cable couple of days ago but I can't get anything to work, regardless of which type of receiver I choose in the BV). I did add a SCART cable as well, didn't change anyhting sadly.

Is there a dummys guide on what to check? I tried searching the forum and found one thread with SCART cable and PIN8, but I lack the tools to check, measure that at the moment.

Any help is appreciated!

Tack

Marco

Probably best to get a B&O tech to update the PUC list or at least advise the model that is closest to it.

Sometimes the SKY boxes have to be selected as Thomson

Hi,

the PUC for Digicorder or for Digi HD2SX should work.

There is one 'hidden' feature of the Technisat.: it can react to two different CodeSets. I don't know right now where it is located in the Technisat menu. But there's a setting for 'SAT1' and 'SAT2'. To use the B&O PUC codes, it has to be set to 'SAT1' on the Technisat! Wink

So i recommend to check this setting on the Technisat with the Technisat remote. ttention: If you change the setting of the Tecnisat receiver you also have to change the setting of the remote!!

I hope this helps

Hej!

ok, I used that PUC most of the time, so guess I guessed right ;-)

Haven't found a way to change the SAT settings, so my current next step is to wait for a new SCART cable (never thought I would buy one of those again), as the old one I use currently might not have all pin's connected.

Thanks!

Are you sure that the PUC cable is transmitting?  View the transmit' end of it with the 'selfie' camera of an iPhone and you should see it lighting up when you operate the remote to control the STB.

I can't imagine that a new SCART cable will change anything in this setup - I presume that you care getting the picture (either via hdmi or SCART) but simply can't control the STB?

That should not be needed?

Are there no B&O technicians in your area to help?

Sadly no B&O technicians nearby. Currently living "in the woods" in Sweden and the closest B&O shop is actually in Norway ;-) Trying to figure it out by myself first, before I put the heavy TV in my car and drive 60-80minutes.

Tried the cam to test the cable and I do see that its transmitting something.

Yes, I do get the picture/ sound via HMDI and that works fine. Just can't control the STB via my Beo4
