Beovision / center 6 26 bracket

I've recently purchased one of these brackets with the built in set top box stand below with the intention of removing the set top box part leaving me just with the standard wall mount. Problem is although the shelf part is easily detached (2 screws) I can't for the life of me work out how the bottom extended part of the pole is detached! Or maybe it doesn't detach? Can anyone offer any words of wisdom?
