Hi all.
New here, just got a Beomaster 3000-2 and wondering anyone knows of a DIN switch to be able to increase the number of connections? I found an old thread (from 2008!) but the links had gone.
Thanks in advance
Mark
Hi and welcome to Beoworld!
If you want to connect B&O equipment you will need the full 7 pin connections to allow datalink (hence control other input devices). B&O used to make such a device, and they sometimes come up on eBay (mine was about £15 a few years back). Here's a picture: https://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/cfs-filesystemfile.ashx/__key/CommunityServer.Components.UserFiles/00.00.00.24.05.Aux+expander/Aux-expander-1.jpg
But if you are adding non-B&O stuff then something like this is ideal (from our site sponsor!): https://soundsheavenly.com/music-input/18-419-aux-input-switch-box-for-multiple-input-devices-to-one-aux-socket-4-way.html#/36-output-5_pin_din_aux
EDIT: If it's the 1970s Beomaster 3000-2 then I think the DIN inputs only have five pins, hence the second adapter above will be fine!
Thanks Guy.
It is the 1970's version with the 5 pin DIN, i will check out the second link.
all the best
B&O also made very small adapters giving you a switchable 5 or 7 pin din and a cinch input.
So you can switch between a 5P din or a stereo cinch on a 5P din input.
I have several of those still, feel free to PM me if interested.
