Hello (excuse me using google translate)

I have today:

Beocenter 9500

Beolab penta 1 (active)

beovox penta (passive)

I wonder if it is somehow possible to replace the Beocenter 9500 with any other media player but keep my 4 speakers?

what do i need to do it? ..

amplifier for beovox?

I want to be able to use the speakers for my TV. i am doing it right now with an aux cable but the setting options are not so good at beocenter. My one beovox that has the longest cable sounds a lot lower than the other.

Wouldn’t a Sonos Amp work for your set up? Steve from Sounds Heavenly can probably provide any adapter. This would work if you want to replace CD with streaming.

B&O in my life 😊:

  • Beolab 8002 + Beolab 2 + Beosound Core with Essence Remote (Office)
  • Beolab 6000 + Beolab 11 + Beosound Core with Essence Remote (Bedroom)
  • Beoplay A9 Mk2 (Living Room)
  • Beosound 1 with wireless dock (Portable)
  • Beosound Balance (Dining)
  • Beoplay H95 (Focused listening, travel)
  • Beoplay H9 (3rd gen) (retired)
  • Beoplay P6 (Portable)
  • Beotime wall clock (hallway entrance)
  • BMW X5 50i with B&O Audio Package (Commute/drive)

Hi Nelzon91,

Have you considered a BeoAmp 2 to drive your passive Penta? It has power output similar to the BeoLabs.

In terms of streaming, perhaps a BeoSound Essence MkII. This has two Powerlink outputs - one that you can use for your BeoLabs using an adaptor cable from Steve (RJ45 to RCA plugs), and another you could connect to the BeoAmp 2 (RJ45 to RJ45).

You haven’t said what kind of TV you have so it’s hard to give more specific advice.

Hope this helps,

Lawrence
