Not seen a 55" that cheap in the UK, so far! £1399 inc 20% VAT is the lowest price here.
Are you sure that's not the B9 you've seen for under £1000? Even when I search for C9 I often see the B9 listed.

Ordered a 65" C97LA today, in Germany no big deals on the C9 series. Most retailer sell the at roughly 2000 Euro inkl. VAT. I got an offer for 1888 Euro inkl. a Nintendo Switch (don't ask why this bundle, will go on eBay soon....)
the 77" is tough to get, very low inventory. Most retailers have them listed for 5000 Euro, but not in stock.
the 55" you can get for 1300 Euro with a good deal, most prices are more in the 1500 Euro range.
With the recent SW release the B&O code could be now on board.
