How do Beocord 8000 / 8002 / 8004 / 9000 compare

the title says it all. Similar decks, I suppose. The 8002 has added HX Pro to the 8000 and the 8004 Dolby C, if I am not mistaken. The 9000 had auto-calibration when recording. However, how do those decks compare soundwise and from a quality point of view (how well are they made)? Is there much in it?

All great quality in their build. In playback the only difference I’ve found in back to back comparison is in those that have had full recapping and those that haven’t. When recording I rarely use Dolby and can make an equally great tape from the 8002, 8004, & 9000.

Cosmetics and full restoration making the biggest difference rather than model number in my opinion.
