I’ve setup the system to a new 1TB SSD using the original BO Hitachi 500GB HDD and the service tool.

Seems to work fine when testing with internet radio.

Now I want to rip a CD.

In settings, the auto-rip is enabled.

When inserting a CD, tracks are shown.

In bottom left corner I have a CD icon with WORKING text.

After a few seconds I get CD icon with text “auto-rip disabled” and no ripping takes place.

Did anyone experience the same problem?

I’ve just started ripping manually by holding the GO button, the ripping went to 100%.

Why couldn’t the auto-rip start?

Could it be because it cannot find cover and gracenote data anymore ?

That’s a good question!

I think I had auto-rip working while gracenote was allready deactivated, I have used system and I never ripped with activ gracenote, but I’m sure I did auto-rips.

Could you test on your system if auto-rip still works for you?

EDIT:

yesterday I’ve started a manual rip which accomplished without problem.

Today I’ve tried a new auto-rip and this one also accomplished without problem.

Conclusion:

If auto-rip does not work after setting up a new hard-disk or SSD , first do a manual rip.

Perhaps due to the not existing “unknown artist” folder which was created by the manual rip.

I'm a big idiot, I can't auto-ripp anymore.

I wanted to redo a manual rip, but guess what:

I can't remembre how I did the manual rip.Super Angry

Can someone help me out to remembre?

EDIT:

found the solution again

Like I wrote in my first post, to access the menu with manual rip function you have to hold the GO button for a few seconds while in the CD view with the tracks list.
