Hi Beoworlders,

I am interested to know what you would ask B&O to make if they offered to build one item just for you for Christmas?  Please feel free to comment below, or via the link to this video review which covers the responses so far:-

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qilD1QTXt_I

I have added some suggestions at this link to start things off.......

Kind regards, Steve.

Hello Santa!

A Beosound with 3 CDs (mini 9000) and Apple Music built-in streaming, Siri + Alexa voice.

Powerlink and WISA output.

Never gonna happen, I know. ;)

A ML/NL Converter Light - just to connect the oldschool sources (of e.g. a BeoSound 9000) to the NL network (nothing more nothing less)........was my wish years ago.

Today - hmmmm.....support for Spotify Connect on the newer devices - not much to ask, or?

There is a tv - and there is a BV

Affordable products in a great design and quality - just like in "the old days", where B&O were ahead of its time in terms of integration, attention to details and materials. (Beosystem 5000, 7000 etc., Beolink/Masterlink)

I´m not old enough to have bought a new TV in the 80´s or 90´s, but looking in old adverts it doesn´t seem like a B&O TV costed 15-20 times as much as other products back then. I bought a new Sony 55" Smart TV for my parents last week. It was 4000DKR. You can barely buy a portable B&O speaker for that amount. As much as I would love to own a B&O Avant or whatever they´re called these days, I just can´t justify the premium to myself. No doubt the sound and picture quality is better than the Sony, but it´s not 15-20 times better.

BeoPlay A9 Mk. II "Special Edition" - "Smoked Oak"

Beosound Stage "Contrast Collection" - Anthracite

Beoplay M5 - Black

Beomaster 7000 + Beocord 7000 + Beogram 7000 MMC1/2 + Beogram CD7000 + Beolink 7000 + Beolab 8000

Beocenter 9500 + Beolink 1000

AUX Expander "Custom Mod" (built-in Bluetooth streaming)

Build one thing for me?

How about a tiny house! Furnished or not, I'd be interested to see what they come up with.

OlivierC:

I’d like to see a revamped Bluetooth Form 2 headset, maybe with some basic touch control for volume and track skipping.

It’s such a pity to see that iconic B&O design being discontinued.

Oops, this was only a personal wet dream, sorry. Smile

Hi.

I am not sure witch model you compare at sony, but a sony 55 for 4000 DKR you can get, but you can also get a sony for 24.000 dkr, so if you compare a B&O TV to the 4000 tv it maybe not fair at all.

And when you buy a B&O tv, its so much more then god picture Quality. You get a 7.1 dolby decoder, with up to 16 beolab speaker you can connect, or 8 wisa compatible speaker in a full surround sound system.

3 ways full speaker system with 450 watt, beoremote one, the best remote control to a tv, and the integration of 3 parts setup box, and a placement possible with motorised engine that far better then anyone els. Wood and aluminium parts that are handmade in one of the most advance aluminum fabric in the world. So if you take an eclipse or harmony down in different parts, and se what you get, its not a sony 55 for 4000 dkr.

Her is why people not see what they buy, before they judge B&O. They make great TV and the best combination of TV and sound together. You get what you pay..Its easy like that. But if you dont want all the extra and only a black tv screen your welcome to buy other product, but no need to judge B&O and say it cost 15-20 times more. From sony top model to 25 000 and eclipse to 75.000 its 3 times the price, not 15-20. so please make your research better. =)

So right !!!! every point especially the curtain part, how hard can it be.

Even Samsung have some kind of curtains but from bottom/top to center (like the old cathod tv's).

The new designers/developpers have no idea of the legacy

Motorised sound bar with stand and hinge options, with built in PUC control for any TV panel that can be mounted above.

TV panel to be fixed using standard VESA plate.

BL3 MK3.. J

New BS 9000  or…

BS5  with all candys ( DHMI output, dolby ATMOS option, plex, youtube, netflix, spotify, deezer, FM radio, DAB+, net radio, touch screen, min 5TB SSD disc, wifi, BT, optical IN+ OUT, top of the line DAC,  app for phone or tablet, and…solid SW !!!!

Ok..ok…i'm dreaming..but it is not impossible.

It can be done …as BS5 it allready just a computer with outside screen.

You just upgrade a compurer part + add touch screen glass part.

Maybe we can build one and send it to B&O as demo version ..ha ha

Thanks guys,

Some interesting ideas so far - let's hope Beosanta has our wish lists covered Big Smile

I will add a +1 for the "Beolab 30" speakers with BL50 tech but in a reduced size.  In exchange, I would want to buy B&O a Devialet Phantom Reactor to spur on their creativity and challenge them further..... Whistle

Please keep the ideas coming!

Kind regards, Steve.

Another revolutionary device:

a 40" TV... There are a lot of household who do not have the space to place a 55" tv. Or want a an additional tv for the kitchen/bedroom/study...

A multiroom-version of a single BeoLab 3000 with Kvadrat-cloth.

Could be a beautiful NL-speaker that fills the gap between the M5 (€ 599) and the BS1 (€1500). A speaker with a touch of aluminium and some Kvadrat magic. Wall hung or integrated in a Montana or Pastoe-cabinet...

A multiroom-version of a single BeoLab 3000 with Kvadrat-cloth.

Should be easy to DIY: Take a BL3000, tuck and airport express inside, buy kvadrat fabric by the meter and follow any recloth tutorial Smile

I want a connection HUB wich surround and PUC controls.  A new center speaker could be nice as well, but i’ll reuse my beolab 7-4 if i have to Beosystem 5 without videoprocessing if you want).

today i am using a beosystem 3 with an 65 inch LG QLED and an HDMI splitter.  Works fine with an apple tv 4k, but its an old kit and i could like to uprade it.

Format 0  😀😎

A reissue of the Beogram 4000 but modernized with direct drive and new MMC carts.

It would probably cost thousands.
