Hi,

I’m trying to convince my Beosystem 4 that it has a Beovision 4 (or 12) attached so that it will send commands to switch the panel on and off through the serial port. I am currently managing this via an IR wand, but the screen can occasionally go out of sync, hence my preference to use the serial port.

ive been on to B&O support, and they’ve been very helpful in identifying that the Beosystem 4 is not signalling via the serial port because the EDID info being sent back via the HDMI cable is not signaling a Beovision.

I’ve found a EDID emulator:

https://www.lindy.co.uk/audio-video-c2/hdmi-2-0-edid-emulator-p11244

but I need a Beovision 12 (preferably) or a Beovision 4 to connect the emulator to to be able to learn the EDID info.

is there anyone who has a Beovision who could help me if I send the emulator for learning? Note that as most Beovision 4s are connected via DVI, the BV12 would be easier.
