Beosound 900 and Beoplay V1

I recently purchased the 9000 to play through the V1, via the AV input and Sounds Heavenly cable.

I want to play through the V1 via  a FOSI amplifier to a pair of KEF 104s, (old friends), but I can't find an output from the V1 that is suitable - 'Line' is not controlled by the Beo4, and 'Other' (in the speaker options) is too low level.

In the great list of B&O loudspeaker options, is there a speaker that would solve my problem?  Or would a small pre-amp allow me to use the 'Other' output and still control level with the remote? Sounds Heavenly have a pre-amp for Beogram that might work, but has anyone any experience of that?

Hi Ajal,

Thanks for your purchase and for your kind words, I'm always happy to help!  There is no need for a pre-amp, if your amplifier has RCA input sockets then you can connect from a spare RJ45 Powerlink output on the TV to the amplifier with this cable:-

You can select any suitable speaker type in the TV menu (eg. Beolab 9) to roughly match the size of the Kef speakers, then turn up the amplifier volume to around 50-75% - this should now let you control the speaker volume as normal from the B&O remote.
