Hi guys,

I have a Beosound Moment in my living room that I have a love - hate relationship with :) I've thought multiple times to sell it and get a Beosound Core but my ideal setup would be to keep the Moment (it looks quite nice) and add a Beosound Core to the setup so I could still use the Moment but also the Core for airplay purposes and maybe throw an Apple HomePod into the mix (I use Siri not Google/Amazon).

Do you know if this is possible and would work without problems? The Moment is connected to my Horizon and Beolabs.

Well,

you can add a Core into the mix, but I´m unsure what usecase you want to support.

Anyway, a Core will appear as a source in your B&O setup and you can manage it through the app. Not sure you can integrate it with your Horizon when you already have a Moment integrated.

Maybe you could integrate the Core to the BV and link the Moment to the Core so that Moment sources can also be seen by the Core?

NVGAE:

Maybe throw an Apple HomePod into the mix (I use Siri not Google/Amazon).

I dont think Homepod has any outputs, other than over Airplay.

Sure you can connect a Core to the Horizon as well as having the Moment integrated there.

However - since you want the HomePod in the mix.....which means using AP2, you will run into problems there.

Playing from an AirPlayed source from the Core to the Horizon (where the speakers are) will mean using NeiworkLink/B&O multiroom for distributing.

This and using AP2 simultaniously might cause trouble and is generally not recommed by B&O.

Since AirPlay is the only thing you are after, it would be a better idea to connect an AirPlay2 receiver to the line-in of the Horizon.

Of course you’d have to acticate that source with the BeoRemote One (tip: use a MyButton for that) - but you’d be able to play to it using Siri via the HomePod, once that is done.

MM

There is a tv - and there is a BV

How do you have the beolabs connected? To the Horizon or the Moment?

I’m thinking to connect my BV5 (or BV7) to the core to the moment to beolabs. Possible? Makes sense?
