Hello all,

I've gotten my hands on some pretty good looking 4702's, of which the woofers are broken (all four of them are truly dead, they just do nothing at all). I've been searching like crazy, and haven't been able to find a single speaker that comes even close to the geometry of this one. None will fit. I've figured out they're 7", despite every other page saying something else, but still no luck.

Is there anyone who knows what the original type of these speakers are? They don't seem to be coming from the Philips AD series, which I expected; I can't find them anywhere on the list of 1971/1972. I've become quite desperate to find them, I just can't.

Thanks!

They are custom produced by Peerless for B&O.

All four bad? That's very unusual. Are you sure the problem is not somewhere else?
Try putting an ohmmeter across a woofers terminal (out of circuit) and take a reading.

I thought the same thing. 3 out of 4 are out of circuit and the only that that did respond is scratching inside of the magnet, which will ensure extreme deforming. Whoever owned them, he's ruined them very well!
