Beosound essence remote

Hello I have a essence remote where all functionality is working except the volume is this common? It’s a pain I don’t know what I can do to mend it. Thanks 

I got an Essence remote with my Core. I had issues with control and connectivity. I ended up not using it. I loved how it looks but it wasn’t super reliable for me. Everything else I have is solid.

Infrared- or Bluetooth mode?

Infrared control varies very strong compared to the volume control of e.g. Beosound 3000 and a Beosystem. On the Beosound 3000 it's somehow rough with big steps when controlling volume while it's much smoother with a Beosystem.

Had this with one remote. Send it in for repair. Apparently it was defective. Don't wait to long iwhen you want it fixed under warranty.

Tried this at first. Worked only once. After that unpairing and pairing again. I've tried it all. But without succes. Typical thing is that the buttons work but only the volumewheel lost it functionality. I had a bluetooth connection with an Essence mk2.

Thanks for the reply it’s programmed to control a moment at present I can use all the functionality of the buttons but the volume wheel won’t work no matter what I try just wondering if I missed the obvious
