"You think we can slap some oak on this thing?"
Outstanding! A very cool update to a classic. I take it you're using one channel of the amp for the woofers and the other for the tweeters and midranges? Kind of what audiophiles call vertical biamping with passive xovers.
I think B&O should take a lesson from you, considering their speakers are all active, why should you need a TV or Audiomaster to connect them to, I think the market for stand alone stereo speakers like this would exist.
Jeff
I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus.
Leos that’s really cool! Did you put the amps inside the cabinets?
Is there no problem with heat generated by them?
Amps are inside the cabinet. Just below the bass reflex. Heat goes upward, so I think there is no problem. But for safety there is a fire extinguisher two meters away for now.

this looks awesome! well done! did you happen to take any pictures while modding this?

Do you have a thermal sensor you could run through the port and attach to the board/heatsinks temporarily to see? It's fortunate that Class D amps don't produce the same amount of heat as AB or even worse, class A space heaters.
I don't have a thermal sensor.
The amplifier is mounted vertically inside, and there is quite much space above it. I can atleast not feel the speaker getting warm in any way on the outside or in the bass reflex tube. If there was any heating problems I should feel the tube getting hot.i only have a few pictures, I'll post them from my iPad soon.
Otherwise I have been using them for a few days now, and they are working perfectly.
Total cost of the project was 160euros.
And after changing to an android phone I now have an app that lets me use my wireless Pentas as an alarmclock
Well, being it's a bass reflex speaker, the harder you work the speakers the more airflow over the amps!
Play Kool and the Gang!
Small update about heat: no fire yet 😂
OK Leos, then it is time now to try 'Fire' by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Very impressive - is there anyone in the UK who can this?

Wow. Finally I found that post. I am interested in a ICEpower 125. Do you have y idea how to connect the RJ45 cable to the P102 port. I can't find y information about it. That would be wonderful.
