Hi,
Recently I replaced the battery of one of the two Beocom 6000 I have at home for more than 10 years now.
After that I only can register one the handsets. As soon as I register the second one, the registered one turns to unregistered and viceversa. Both handsets, once they have been registered, work perfectly but just one at the time.
Does anyone know how to solve this? Thanks
How can I update the software. I did not know that could be possible because there no other connection than the DECT.
There is a maximum of 6 handsets per base; perhaps 5 others have been registered, in which case you can remove them using menu 7. Worth a try?
How are you trying to re-register the handsets i.e. what steps are you doing to register them to the base? Do you have the user manual?
Dave.
I have removed the 2 handsets from the base several times and start again!
I disconnect the base from the main for more than two seconds and then start registering the handsets. The first one is registered perfectly but when I start to register the second one, as soon as it gets registered, the first one gets unregistered.
I'd try a factory reset of the base and handsets. Base: Press dot, then 70008, then 'ok'. Handset: Press dot, then 70009, then 'ok'. This should work with a Mk I Beocom 6000. You'll of course lose all your stored numbers by doing this.
Still not working.
After resetting the base and two handsets several times I only can register one handset. If I disconnect the base from main after having registered the first handset, this one gets unregistered again.
Isn´t it amazing??????
It appears that I have come across a very similar issue.
I recently purchased new batteries for three handsets I had not been using for quite some time. however, when I register them they all register as handset number 1 thus pushing out the initial number one. All three handsets that have just had new batteries register as number 1. The initial 3 handsets all register as they should as number 1, 2 and 3.
anyone else come across this?

I have been using BC6000s for some time and have never come across this problem. New handsets should register as the first 'available' handset number.
You could try resetting each handset before connecting to the base, and you could possibly also try a reset of the base (but be aware that you will lose a 'common' address book if you do the latter.)
The question which does not appear to have been answered in this thread is:-
When you replaced the batteries were the replacement batteries Sanyo NiMH model 3HR-AAAU at 700MaH
There are many batteries on sale who say they are for Beocom 6000, but a lot of them are 3.6 volt but fall short on the current.
Also the BeoCom bases and handsets can be updated, but for 99% of units you will not require an update.
