Hi,

I finally got my Beogram 1203 to turn again. I bought a new belt for it and it works well as long as I stay on the 17 or 30 position. But when I put it on 25, the belt goes off and passes under the platter.

For now, it's not a big problem. When I want to listen to a 33 rpm, I just put it on 30 and take the arm back to the beginning of the record. But I would really like it to work in all configurations. I know that the weight of the upper platter helps keep the belt in place, but this happens with and without the platter on.

Anyone knows how I could fix it? (Sorry for my english, it's quite rusty).

Thanks.

Yes I checked that. I also tried with the old belt, same problem. I tried with another platter from another 1203, and another belt, and I still have the same problem. The only way I managed to get it to stay in place, was puting a lot of weight on the platter. Any idea?

The weight of the platter is essential. Don't run it without the platter or the belt will indeed come off.
Still no luck - check those transport screws again. They need to be fully losened.
