Hi,
I finally got my Beogram 1203 to turn again. I bought a new belt for it and it works well as long as I stay on the 17 or 30 position. But when I put it on 25, the belt goes off and passes under the platter.
For now, it's not a big problem. When I want to listen to a 33 rpm, I just put it on 30 and take the arm back to the beginning of the record. But I would really like it to work in all configurations. I know that the weight of the upper platter helps keep the belt in place, but this happens with and without the platter on.
Anyone knows how I could fix it? (Sorry for my english, it's quite rusty).
Thanks.
Did you loosen the transport screws

Yes I checked that. I also tried with the old belt, same problem. I tried with another platter from another 1203, and another belt, and I still have the same problem. The only way I managed to get it to stay in place, was puting a lot of weight on the platter. Any idea?
The weight of the platter is essential. Don't run it without the platter or the belt will indeed come off.Still no luck - check those transport screws again. They need to be fully losened.
