I'm running BLGW etc. on my home system and have an opportunity to set up a new dedicated switch and V/Lan subnet for the B&O gear through a Maraki being set up by my work's IT team.

They have no experience with B&O but given that the Maraki is the recommended B&O hardware I was wondering what type of switch is either the official or optimal choice for a dedicated install.

The main reason for the new additional switch is to free up ports on my old switch running a lot of business equipment/servers as well as logistics to put it closer to the B&O "cabinet".

Also worth mentioning is that I currently have a lot of reliability/behavioral issues with my B&O gear that I suspect is mostly due to network noise.

Thanks.

Michael

For noise reduction:-

Flinch, moan, groan or roll eyes.......but there are some that say this is worth the price of admission: http://www.aqvox.de/index_en.html

These worked for me:- one on the router output and one on the Auralic input:- https://emosystems.de/en/shop/emosafe-network-isolators/high-performance/en-1005/

and these are also well known:- https://www.amazon.co.uk/Fiber-com-Ethernet-converter-transceiver-included/dp/B07CTMFX3G/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=F60Z7MTQXKSS&keywords=ethernet+to+sfp+optical+converter&qid=1585750032&sprefix=ethernet+optical+%2Caps%2C258&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUFQTFhERFM1OFg0WkMmZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTA4MTY0NjQxVERWTFFBUDFTS1JBJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTA4NDI5MzQ5MlVBNTlJWUdGWUwmd2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGYmYWN0aW9uPWNsaWNrUmVkaXJlY3QmZG9Ob3RMb2dDbGljaz10cnVl
