Hello B&O fanatics!

I am the proud owned of a  Beosound 2300 and Beolab 6000 2x.

Unfortunately, I came across a problem with my 2300 and 6000’s

I have 1 connection for both speakers used in the back of my 2300, via powerlink from speaker to other speaker (no direct link from both speakers to 2300). However, without a plug in the other remaining powerlink bracket, one of my speakers loses its mind and makes a pushy noise when swapping radio channels. I now plugged an aux converter in the other powerlink bracket to an apple airplay outlet and the speakers work OK.

The aux bracket in the back of the 2300 is now not used and useless, when I unplug the Airplay port and connect it to to this aux bracket the speaker starts to behave weird again.

It looks like the 2300 does not identify a second speaker anymore, but I have no idea to fix it :( Maybe a enthousiast can help me out?

Kind regards, Jochem & Stay Safe

And proud owner of a Beovision 10! :)

Probably not the problem, but did the Left Right Line switch somehow get switched on the speaker?

Hi,

sorry to hear you're having problem. The power link socket can be used as a preamp output, and the aux socket can be used for both input/output. The cable is very important. You might want to check with Steve at Sounds Heavenly, one of our sponsors, to see if he can help sort out your problem.

Not sure i've understood you well but how do swap radio channels?

If its on the unit, could it be possible it would be some sort of bad contact happening when you push on the whole chassis?
The fact it dont happen when another connector is plugged is maybe because it will give a kind of anchor between the board and the plastic cover preventing the PCB to dance?

Did you try to plug your speaker chain to the other powerlink socket and do it happen still? Also when you say "one of my speakers loses its mind and makes a pushy noise", is it the first or the last in the chain. Here again did you try to reverse the chain? I cannot see how a speaker problem could be related to the other powerlink being use or not, but worth a try anyway. Unless is it some kind of grounding related problem?

Hey Thanks for your time guys!

I swap via beo 4 or the unit itself, no differences.

I found out one speaker makes the poof sound.

Swapped the speaker to the end of the powerlink, via the other 6000 thus indirect to the 2300, problem still there :(

If I play music on airplay now, it overrules the radio :( because my aux has to be in the other powerlink bracket to overcome the poof sound in the speaker.

Im do not know what to do anymore, think the speaker might be broken?
