When trying to watch the live virtual F1 GP on the built-in BV11 Youtube app at the weekend I found that the picture would freeze after about 5 seconds, although the sound carried on. (The Youtube app has no problem now with playing the complete recorded programme.)
Is this likely to be a problem with the built-in app (Opera op. system) or is it it more likely that my router (on fast fibre system) cannot simultaneously process live incoming data and send it to the TV? Or could there be another reason for ‘live’ programmes on Youtube freezing up after a few seconds?

Thanks Stuart. I guess that this is another reason not to buy anything that relies on built- in software that can become outdated overnight.
I've also just found that Amazon Prime video will not run on earlier Apple TV's, even though the app is there and you can get the first episodes of TV series to run, but then find that subsequent episodes are blocked unless you have the latest generation Apple TV. Is it too cynical to think that this is all part of the business model? Change the software... customer upgrades hardware.... wait a year or two, rinse and repeat.....
EDIT
Correction. Someone else had logged into the Amazon Prime app on the Apple TV. When I cleared that log-on and put in my own password then the Amazon Prime Videos became available. (So what is needed here is an upfront warning about who is/was logged onto the Amazon site, just as you would have at the top of an Amazon iPad or PC page.)
