Greetings,
I would like to purchase the 1986 B & O / Beolab Penta 6602 speakers with built in amps.
I am using a Sansui AU-717 amp with other Sansui devices.
I have read the online manual plus what ever other info I could find about using my amp with the Beolab speakers that have the built in amps.
Has anyone here run Non B & O systems with the Penta 6602 built in amps ?
The manual does read and or other receivers but that is about it.
It appears that the built in amp adjusts to the incoming signal but I have not found anyone who is using different external amp set ups while using an active amp Penta speakers system and also how the like it.
I am new to this forum and the possible use of these speakers and I would be grateful for any feed back and experience using these speakers with the added external amp.
Thank you
J.

Hi Hobbie,
Welcome to Beoworld! The amps in the Pentas are very powerful and these generally give better results than you will get from an external amp (as they are designed for these speakers). Please run a cable like this one from the Pre-out sockets of the Sansui amp to the Line inputs of the two speakers:-

Please set both speakers to "Auto" mode using the switches on the hinged front panel.
Kind regards, Steve.
Steve.
