Beoplay h8 recent issues?

Hello!

My wife and I have a pair of h8s each. In the last week or so they've both failed. Diagnostically it appears to be the same issue - music will play over the cable but not over Bluetooth. We've tested both pairs of a number of Android devices and it doesn't work on any of them (but will pair successfully). The headphones still work fine on Apple devices though.

 

I've sent a pair back to B&O and they say there appears to be nothing wrong.

 

Does anyone have ant suggestions? We've tried a number OF android OS and devices, and there have been no updates etc that I'm aware of.

 

Is anyone else having the problem?

I sold mine at a big loss on eBay. Total junk.

Get some B&W PX or P5, you won’t look back. I tried a pair of E8s last week as I’d lost my B&W earbuds, and unfortunately they lived down to the H8s performance. Amazingly and I’m using Android as well, the Apple Earbuds are a joy to use. And half the price.

To be honest I love the h8 and for the price I paid for them on eBay they're a pretty good buy. Do like my new h8i better though.

Well I hope they work for you. I had great hopes for mine, and really wanted the E8s to work out too.

Me too. Right now I'm peeved off they spent 10 minutes testing and then have said they appear to be working fine.

I use my H8's daily. TBH, they are a bit finicky. Sometimes they don't turn on when i flip the switch, so i have to click it up, or turn the switch back off, then on again. But once they're on, they're fine. 

The only gripe I really have,... and this is true of my H9's as well, is that if I leave the headphone on and no music is playing, they stay on, and the battery gets drained... even though, I was under the assumption they would turn completely off after 15min without activity.

How about downloading the beo software updater on your computer. It works either Mac or windows.

And reflash your software on the H8.

Mine work fine just wish they were stronger with Bluetooth.

already did that before returning them sadly!

 

wife's h8 issues once I had the chance to look at it was unrelated and now resolved
