Hi All,

I was under the impression that the Beo4 Navi (which has P. Mute) Picture mute, would turn the TV off on both of these devices, it seems to mute the picture on the BS3 but not on the Avant.

The other issue I have with both devices and the Beo4 is the toggle or 'OK' button does absolutely nothing on either device making the Beo4 practically unusable. I've tried the different option settings on the Beo4 and not had any luck.

I believe the BS3 is suppose to have a context menu option to enable support for the Navi, but I haven't been able to find that either.

Does anyone have experience with this?

My Avant is Type: 8463 and my BS3: 9601

Many thanks,

Navi version only for the latest version of BS3....

Download different versions of user guides/manuals, reference guides and you will see.

Might work with upgraded sw (maybe chips/hw) for you device, too.

Hi

With a Navi Beo4 you’ll need to use in Mode 2 with the equipment you own rendering the Navi button unused apart from Select (push down nipple) as Go. You won’t be able to switch modes easily for Mode 1 (Navi mode) or Mode 2 (Beo4 legacy mode) plus you’ll need Beo4 Navi software in the BS3 to make it work.

To picture mute an Avant CRT you need to select AV from the LIST then the command you want. Depending on what else you have connected via ML will determine the TV IR option code.

Regards

Stuart

Hi Both, thanks for the comments, I will try and get my BS3 updated and hopefully it will support the navi from there.

In regards to the Avant, if I press 'AV' and then 'SAT' nothing happens. I've tried it multiple times on multiple beo4 remotes. I've found in the manual info on this feature and I 'think' it is only designed to work if you have an Avant connected to a hifi system. Has anyone been able to listen to SAT or DVD on an Avant in stand alone mode?

Thanks,

David
