Hi

Some of you over time may remember that I have a setup of BL18 fronts BL3 rears with BL19

It got me looking at the specs for BL17

Are these more powerful than an 18 or 20?

I was thinking whether I should add 20s at front and move the 18s to rear (not sure if I have the room)

Or have 17s as fronts seeing that they’re quite powerful

Or should I go for 18s and have 4 x 18 with the 19 and then move my 3s to somewhere else.

What would you go with ?

Thanks

I’ve got the 17s and they’re mightily impressive for their size.

But I’d go with the symmetry of have two pairs of 18s Micheal, with a 19 discretely hidden away. My Eclipse has the wooden fret, and is paired with silver 17s with a black fret. Drives me bonkers!

Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.

Hi Chris,

this is a bit off topic, but I manufacture customised Beolab and Beovision covers. If you are interested in some covers with wood printing for you Beolab 17, feel free to send me an email at beocovers@gmail.com. You can also have a look on the website, if you are interested: https://www.beocovers.com (I can also organize some used Beolab 17 covers, so you don't have to send me yours).

I have 4x18 in the living room and it’s awesome but I have also tried 17 as rear and no complaints either. My 17 is in an office now and 3s in bedroom. If price is an issue then 17. I don’t have 19.

Good luck

Thanks I’ll look. Beovision Eclipse, BeoLab 17,Beolit 15, Beoplay A2 Active

Feel free to contact me about more information or a quote. I would be more than happy to offer a solution. Regarding the question of the Beolab 17, I think Beolab 3 as rears are more than good enough. If you buy 17s I would keep them as surrounds as I think it simply looks better to have bigger speakers in the front and smaller ones as surrounds.
