Hi All,

Im thinking about purchasing and transporting (via air) a pair of beolab 1’s. The beolab 1’s are listed as being 36Kg. Does anyone know how much of this 36Kg is in the base plate and how much is in the actual Speaker?

I have a pair of 8000’s and the base stand accounts for 90% of the total speaker weight. Is the same true for the beolab 1’s?

many thanks!

P.

It has been more than 10 years since I last moved my Beolab 1s, and 15 years since I removed the base plates. I never compared the weight of the speaker to the base, but the base is definitely much heavier than the speaker itself.
