Hello everybody
I'm hoping this is an easy thing for people on this forum to answer, but I have not yet found the correct keywords to google:
I have a pair of E8s, that connect to every device I have tried them with, but refuse to work properly with my phone (S9). They connected the first time I tried them, but since then pairing them is successful 1 in 10 times, but even when paired they refuse to actually connect with phone.
Very frustrating tbh.
The only thing I can see that seems not right, is the icon for the E8s on the bluetooth page is different to all other audio bluetooth devices (I have attached a screengrab of it)
Any help would be extremely appreciated.
Best regards,
Skill_Sans :)
You phone is not recognizing the E8 as a headphone. Not familiar with the S9. Can you. reset the E8 and try to pair them? Unfortunately I am neither an Android user or have E8. I do have the H9 from B&O and it pairs instantly to my phone. I just wish it paired to multiple devices at the same time if possible so that I can switch between my phone and laptop as needed :)
B&O in my life 😊:
What version of E8 do you have? I had a pair of e8 motions where I basically had to repair them with my non-Samsung android phone every time they had been paired with a different device. That is, I'd pair them with my phone and they'd work fine as long as I just used them with my phone. If I used them with my iPod, the next time I tried to use them with my phone I'd have to re-pair them (i.e. delete them from the bluetooth list, press and hold both ear pieces to activate pairing, the pair with my phone). I did not have this problem with my iPod so it seemed to be something between Android and the e8 software.
The e8 3.0 were announced within the return period of the e8 motions so I returned them and waited on the e8 3.0. At first, the e8 3.0 behaved similarly, but then there was a software update where they now pretty much work without all the fuss... although, I hadn't used them for a while because the gyms are closed and when I used them for the first time I had to do the re-pair dance with my Android phone... Haven't had re-pair them since.
Also, from the screen shot, go into the bluetooth settings for the e8s (i.e. touch the gear to the right of the name in the bluetooth list) and make sure phone calls, media audio and HD audio are all selected.
