Dear members,
Does anyone have the instructions for how to setup a BM7000 after replacement of the lithium backup battery? I’ve downloaded both the service manuals for the 6500 and 7000 but the relevant section seems to be missing. Might someone know what the procedure is?
Just in case anyone is interested, this unit was bought as dead, when powered up only the psu relay would operate, nothing else, checked power, all good, while checking the various boards and handling the front display panel, the unit came to life, momentarily, I found a broken track for one of the metal pins supporting the daughter board. I suspect the board flexes a little, when the front panel operation buttons are pressed, eventually this flexing broke the track. A quick new link fixed the issue
Made some progress, I was able to get my remotes working, after using a Beolink 1000 and press:1271
The beolink 7000 started working as well then, first time I’ve tried these, both bought from eBay as well.
I’ve been able to set balance, treble and bass settings, played music through the phono input and adjust volume. Amazing for something 30 years old.
Not sure how to the radio up though, I think I need to set the frequency offset.
