Hi,

In a previous thread I had asked for advice on running additional speakers with my system; the helpful advice led me down a slightly different track and so my current config is as follows:

I have the following lounge setup:

1) Beosound 3000

2) Penta 3 as rear speakers (via Powerlink looping speaker 1 to speaker 2) (shortly to become the fronts)

3) Beolab 6000 as front speakers (via Powerlink looping speaker 1 to speaker 2) (shortly to become the rears)

4) Non-B&O TV/STB/Games/Alexa kit running into Beosound 3000 via the Aux In on the 3000.

5) New Beolab 3500 running via ML cable into the BS3000 acting as a soundbar beneath the TV

--

6) 2nd new Beolab 3500 for adjoining room running via ML cable (not arrived yet).

Tonight's question relates to (5) the soundbar 3500. It sounds great but could do with a little more volume so there is a bit more front focus to the sound picture.

Is there any way I can independently store the startup sound of the 3500 so it starts more loudly yet changes its volume up/down with the master system i.e. from the Beo4?

Current volume changes on the Beo4 affect all speakers of course and any commands sent from the Beo4 affect both BS3000 and BL3500 simultaneously.

Thanks!

John.

ok realised this was a dull quesiton in the end but in case anyone else is a beginner at this stuff and needs to know......simply covered up the beo4 transmitter with foil except for a direct beam at the BS3500. Then set the volume/bass/loudness etc and stored them as startup values.

Sounds well balanced now.

Cheers
