Trying to integrate audio from B&O and 3rd party sources. Looking for help.

Here is my journey so far:

  • Got a Beovision 11 for many years - turns out this is a model before they integrated Wisa
  • Got a pair of Beolab 18, connected by wire to my control amp (Stream Box DS+)
  • Such a shame I couldn't use the Beolab speakers for TV audio, so I recently bought a Transmitter 1. Thought everything would work out great.

Here is the issue:

  • Turns out Beolabs only work by wire or wireless with the switch under the front panel, not from both sources at the same time. Ok, I could have anticipated that. So switched to wireless mode, connected to Transmitter 1 no problem.
  • Connecting the Transmitter 1 to my Beovision 11 enables tv sound, sure enough. But then I loose my audio from the control amp.
  • Switching over to non-B&O on the Transmitter 1 using analog input also works. However, I need to disconnect PL cable to the tv and reset the Transmitter 1.
  • So audio connections work either way, but not simultaneously. I guess I could possible use the audio input on the tv for external audio (?), but I don't want to first switch on the tv in order to listen to music from another device....

Looking for suggestions for how to integrate the two audio sources into my Transmitter 1, which then feeds the Beolabs. Any ideas are welcome.

Thanks.

You can have the B&O TV connected via Powerlink and the Pro-Ject connected via RCA or Optical, assuming the Pro-Ject has volume control. Then you must set the B&O Input switch to YES.

Or you wire both the bv and the streambox to the speakers and not use wisa. PL will get priority but rca will be picked up if the PL is inactive.
