Hi all, newbie here looking for some help.

I have recently accuired a beogram 1200, my favourite turntable at the moment. However, it is not working, i have 240v present at the motor terminal but the motor does not spin the stator gets hot but the rotor does not turn. i have removed the rotor and bearings and made sure nothing is stiff or siezed. I'm satisfied everything is free but i suspect the stator is at fault. i'm not sure how to electrically test this although i do not have continuity from the wires on the stator coils to the pins that are on the inside that make contact with the rotor. this is with the power off though.

Can these stators be bought replaced or repaired.

thanks

nigel

Welcome to Beoworld.

We must keep in mind, that these one-phase AC-motors have very little initial torque (theoretically none), so it doesn't take much dried oil to stop the party.
Can we see a photo of the motor so we can see which type is fitted?
