Hi!

I came across an opportunity to purchase a well kept pair of the H9 3rd Gen at a relatively reasonable price.

However, I was wondering your thoughts on weather I should get a pair of the H9 3rd Gen now or rather wait for the successor? Could the 4th Gen be among the prospected 10+ products coming out this year?

Thanks in advance!

I have owned many headphones including the H9i and currently own an H9 3rd Gen. The 3rd Gen is excellent in terms of ANC (no hiss), excellent audio quality, battery life, fit and the microphones are also really good. The 3rd Gen are a big improvement over the 9i.

I am tempted to get the H95 as my final pair of headphones. The only downside of the H9 3rd Gen is that the volume doesn’t get too loud, but it has a passive listening mode which the H95 doesn’t. That tell me the H95 uses DSP and uses it’s inbuilt amp so audio quality should be way better than the 3rd Gen H9.

I have a pair of Focal headphones that I never use because they are too bulky for regular use. Likely to go on eBay soon 🙂

My 2 cents worth.
